TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Media Rights & Broadcast License (The Most Critical Clause)

• Non-Exclusive, Worldwide License: By submitting a question (text, audio recording, or video clip), the user grants TalkVille and the associated show/podcast a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, edit, broadcast, publish, distribute, and display the content across all media channels (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, social media).
• No Compensation: Explicitly clarifies that users will not receive royalties, appearance fees, or monetary payment if their name, likeness, voice, or question is aired.
• Name & Likeness Release: Consent for the show hosts to use the submitter’s first name, avatar, voice, and video image on air.

2. Editorial Discretion & No Guarantee of Airing

• No Obligation to Air: The production team and hosts reserve complete editorial freedom. Submitting a question does not guarantee it will be read, played, answered, or reviewed on the show.
• Right to Edit / Truncate: The producers reserve the right to shorten text questions, trim audio/video clips for time constraints, or correct formatting for live broadcast clarity.

3. User Conduct & Content Standards

Users agree that their submissions will not contain:

• Hate speech, harassment, defamation, or threatening language.
• Sexually explicit, violent, or unlawful content.
• Copyrighted audio, music, or video clips owned by third parties (e.g., background music playing during an audio/video recording).
• Commercial solicitation, unauthorized promotions, spam, or referral links.

4. Account Eligibility & Responsibilities

• Age Requirement: Users must be 18 or over.
• Account Security: Users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and all activity under their account.
• Accurate Information: Users must provide real, accurate details (name and email) for identity verification.

5. Termination & Content Removal

• TalkVille reserves the right to suspend or ban any user account, blacklist IP addresses, or remove any submission at its sole discretion without prior notice.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• "As-Is" Service: The web app and live transmission are provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of uninterrupted uptime or error-free recording.
• Technical Glitches: The platform is not liable for dropped audio/video uploads, failed recordings, or unsaved submissions.

7. Privacy: page visits

• If you press ALLOW, TalkVille records which pages of this app you visit, when, for how long, and whether you use a phone or a computer, linked to your account (or to an anonymous visitor number if you are not signed in). This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it.
• We never record what you type. Only the owner of TalkVille can see these records. They are deleted automatically after 13 months.
• If you press NO THANKS, nothing is recorded. You can change your choice at any time with the "Page visit recording" link at the bottom of your Dashboard.
